Private by design — your photos and videos stay on your device.
Effective date: September 27, 2026
Gridlace is built to be private by design. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information. Gridlace has no user accounts and no backend server that receives your content.
All editing — templates, carousel, grid and video splitting, cohesive carousels, collages, background cutout, filters, animated video export and adjustments — happens entirely on your device. Your photos, videos and projects are never uploaded to us and never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
Gridlace asks for permission to access your photo library so you can pick the media you want to edit and save your finished exports back to your library. Gridlace does not scan, index, upload, or transmit your photo library.
If you add your own font, logo, or music file (for example in the Brand Kit or when exporting a video), that file is copied into Gridlace’s private storage on your device and used only to create your posts. It is never uploaded.
If you allow notifications, Gridlace schedules reminders (such as “time to post” reminders you set) locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us.
When you choose to share a post — for example to Instagram Stories, TikTok, or through the iOS share sheet — Gridlace hands your finished image or video directly to that app on your device. From that point, the other app’s own privacy policy applies to how it handles your content. Gridlace only does this when you tap a share action.
Gridlace contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Gridlace Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Gridlace does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
If we update this policy, we’ll post the revised version on this page with a new effective date.
